Hard To Fit

Hard To Fit

Contact lenses don’t always fit perfectly on everyone. There are many reasons a person might have difficulty wearing contacts, whether it’s eye shape, the existence of certain optical conditions or the effects of surgery. Davich Optical specializes in helping “hard-to-fit” patients find the ideal contact lens solution for their individual needs.

You may be considered a hard to fit contact lens candidate if you have any of the following conditions:

  • Dry Eyes
  • Astigmatism
  • Giant Papillary Conjunctivitis (GPC)
  • Keratoconus
  • Pellucid Marginal Degeneration
  • Post-LASIK or other refractive surgery
  • Presbyopia (reduced near vision common in individuals aged 40 and over)
  • Corneal Scarring

We offer specialty contacts to address these specific conditions, including gas permeable (GP), rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses and toric lenses. Additionally, we may recommend certain wear schedule, such as daily versus weekly, to make lens wear more comfortable. We also offer bifocal and multifocal lenses to improve near and distance vision.

If you suffer from any of the conditions listed above or find contact lens wear difficult for other reasons, contact Davich Optical. As technology continues to improve, there will be more options for hard-to-fit patients to enjoy the comfort and convenience of contact lens use.
